WRITEUP: 3rd gen TJM 17 install

Hello gents (and the few lovely ladies),

It's been awhile I recently ordered an early Christmas gift, a TJM 17 bumper. I bought mine from Sonoran Steel with a used pair of Steve's modified bumper bracket/shackle hangers. Here's a pic of the final product:

I wrote the article with many of the tips I culled from the millions of threads re TJM bumper installs. Hopefully this will be of value and referenced by future TJM bumper owners

Glad you went with the 17. I love the clean, minimalist look of it.

thanks for the compliments, guys. im really diggin' this bumper!

instead of the hella lights, i thought about adding some mounting points to the top flat area on it for a hi-lift. however, i neither have a hi-lift nor the means to create a hi-lift mount. ive seen one of the CO guys put one on an arb, but does anyone here have a hi-lift mount for a T17?

oh well, that's future stuff. next project will definitely be the e-locker

I say order some of Slee's Hi_lift mounts for the rack. That is what I am going to do.

Nice write-up
Good pictures to illustrate your points. I especially like the picture with the three boxes in the back
Considering how many times I've taken my back seats out for space and to vaccuum sand, I really should consider doing that same modification...
