why mod a 2wd??

alright this really makes me mad and just seems stupid. i always see these 4runners that are 2WD and yet these people add all of these off road mods to them like they could actually do something. does this bother anyone else??? why not just buy a 4WD 4runner????

Don't let the little things in life bother you. It's their money, they can do what they want with it.

Why do you mod a 4wd? why don't you just buy a tracked vehicle that can out perform it. To each his own, don't worry about what other people do.

Actually a 2wd rig with a rear locker is decently capable. Watch me break a front shaft at the beginning of this video. I still make it up this ledge in 2wd. It's steeper than it looks.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5qLI4BAmLs
Now mud is a totally different story.

For roughly the same reason that people do SAS's with stock axles and no lockers.

They want to look cool.

They aren't concerned about performance. Nothing wrong with that.

I wouldn't say that its dumb, and the trucks DO look good.

It's their money. I imagine its the same with 2wd owners.

What bugs me more are the F350's with 12" lifts, three sets of coilovers, bars welded all over the place, a 5" diesel exhaust with stinkin fumes pouring out of it.....absolutely spotless all the time with some weasel talking on his/her cell phone while drinking a latte at the same time.

I'm just thankfull that it's not me looking that stupid

hahaha

I was told once, by a old friend, that he would not own a 4x4 because he'll have to walk an extra 10 miles when he gets stuck.

I'm sure glad that I have better things to worry about than people modifying their vehicles.

Scientist: Everyone, this is Dr. David Clinger, he's a research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Astrophysics in Houston. (Dave clears his throat.) He likes to be called David "Zinger."

Zinger: On account of the zings, but please, let's get off me...just like your sister did last night. Minizing! Mars Rover, continue.

why mod a 2WD...well someone has never seen prerunning before

driving through the desert going off jumps at 70mph isnt crazy or anything. and you can definitely do it without doing any pointless mods to your 2wd....
