Well, mine isn't too much of a beater. But I got a 1st gen with 240k on it, and it is my daily driver. love it.
Looking to put a superlift under it. and been reading about putting a diesel engine in it when it is time to swap mine out. But the engine in it is pretty good, so it should last a while longer.
1st gen have always been my favourite 4runner. this is my second.
Keep the faith!

my 85 has 196K on it, daily driver, haha.

I don't see why everone is obsessed with yota engine swaps. The 22RE is awesome, just needs a timing chain once in a while

Hey Doug, I lurked for a while, then my truck was down,
now the storm trooper is back!

No more mud for me, my truck has too many rust holes
where stuff gets in and messes with relays/ecm/etc.

Come play in stevensville next time, I know the yotissan
can drive that far!

Here's what I sold, in all its bling glory

Here's my junk

when bought:

as of now:

won't be wheeling until august. only had it on the trail once so far, did great except for the t-case shovel.

i was just about to post a picutre of my rig (not really, i need to get my friend to bring over his digital camera), but i don't have to. mine looks almost identical to yours. the only difference is that i have my hi-lift inside rather than on the rack, and i just painted mine this weekend. it was my first paint job ever, so it didn't turn out that great, but at least i got rid of the holes and rust.

i really like your fender flares, what kind are they? i'm trying to decide what i want to do about flares.

I know there are more budget wheelers out there besides me.

There are so many high dollar rigs here, I could not wheel if I was one of them. I would be overly concerned with damage. I cringe enough with my old rusty rig. Bring on the beaters!

Mike, they are just bushwacker extend-a-flares... check my sig At first I didn't like it so much with the wheels i had (orig alloys) cuz the flares where hanging out an inch or so over the tires. With the new black wheels they line up perfect and liked it much more!

Wait till the weekend... when i post more pics, i'll be curious if you guys will like my setup. Not so sure I do!
