This guy took a cherry 1st gen, and had it "professionally converted to IFS"

First time I've heard of a reverse SAS

I'd like have some of what he's smoking. No way he's gonna get $6900 except from a bigger moron than he obviously is.

FWIW, it's a 2nd gen

**Cough86cough** No one would spend the money to convert to IFS. I think this guy is smoking the ganj, and is in actuality selling an 86 or newer.

He could have just put a 85 grille on any 86-89. Maybe he thought he'd get more for a 85 than a later model cuase of the mileage??

Either way, he's an idiot.

I can go one stupider. There is an '85 4Runner on the net for sale right now that the guy converted from EFI over to carburated. If you buy it, he'll include all the EFI stuff that he pulled off of it

okay i had to call him...
he says it had a bent axle from the previous owner due to off-roading so his mechanic swapped in the ifs out of an 87. :pat:

almost worth a look to see if its a frame swap, since i drive by it every other day.

It's the same grill as my '84 and '85, just chrome. I don't think the grill changed (at least not significantly) from '84 to '88.

Did your old black grill die in a flop at some point. Looking through your pictures I see you used to have a blac grill. '84-86 trucks and runners have a 6 block grill. '87-88 has the 4 block grill. The two styles are interchangeable.

Back to the show truck, nice 4" bodylift!
