What snatch strap to get?

I am going to be buying a snatch strap soon and I was wondering what are the good ones to get? Price isnt a huge concern of mine because I really don't mind paying more for a strap that WON'T FAIL. I ran accross this article, article link, which had a lot of good info and recomendations. The problem is that I think most of those straps are only availabe in Australia because I am having a hard time finding places on the net to buy any of them from. Have you guys heard of any of these brands: Kaymar, Bushranger, Black Rat, Terrain Tamer , Megastrap?

you should find all you need here:

I carry a 3" x 30' tow strap, not sure about carrying a elastic recovery strap, but ARB has them:

Most people got the 2x30, but Dave extended the discount to his other straps as well.

is the 2" strap more than sufficeint or would it be better to get a 3" for overkill?

Snizatch Strap

My mind was not on toyotas. That just sounded wrong. Never heard of it being called a snatch strap. Ive heard of tow strap or tow rope but snatch? :pat:

"Snatch" strap usually identifies a particular type of recovery strap that has some elastic properties to it. The pulling vehicle stretches the strap, and the recoil of the strap returning to its original form helps to yank or 'snatch' the stuck vehicle out of its predicament. They are definitely different from a tow strap.

what do you guys think about that article I linked? I would figure that the ARB would have scored better but they gave it a poor rating.

Personally, I don't like the idea of carrying anything that can build up force like snatch straps. I'd be worried about the strap breaking or a poorly installed shackle mount snapping off flying like a missle. That's one of the reason's why I got a synthetic winch rope. Tow straps work just fine for most conditions, besides I have plenty of torque to pull stuck vehicles out if not a few snatch blocks and the winch should do the trick.....

Fiberlink 2"X30ft

I just bought a couple of the Fiberlink recovery straps. 2 inch width straps should be enough for a 4Runner. I bought then from Off Road Warehouse which has brick and mortar stores in the San Diego area. I had mine shipped to Los Angeles area, placed the order Saturday and received the package on Wednesday.
