As the title says. the steering part that comes from the rack. With the rubber boot on it. There is some slack in the steering and it is coming from inside that boot area. Is there a bushing or nut I can replace/tighten?

Yeah, I donno what single piece you are referring to.

The boot is replaceable, no doubt.

I'm sure Toyota will be able to give you just the rack end, or whatever that needs to be replaced. I for sure do not know what part you need internally though.

In there you have the inner tie rod meeting up with the rack. If its the inner ite rod no biggie.. But the play may be due to the rack itself..and thats not as easy.

Its coming from the lock on the steering wheel and the rubber bushings holding rack on. I just took it apart and looked at it real good with someone rocking the tire. I am picky about my junk and dont like loose crap. So all is good again.
