what front lift setup to go with LC coils?

hi ther eguys.

i am just seeing what some of you more experienced fella would think the best idea for me is to use with my LC coils in the rear of my 3rd gen runner? a TINY bit of rear rake will be fine, but whatever would be the best to compliment the LC's would be great

also i plan to use the LC shocks aswell, i am just making sure before i order them if i NEED the mounting hardware or is my OEM stuff ok?

i do about 80% on road driving so keep that in mind... i want about the best ride possible without getting soft... i am also wondering about how top heavy and "tippy" these runners get when lifted 3.5 or so inches?... if there anything i shojld look into with regards to that?

thanks

as far as fronts,, either revtek front 3 inch spacers or trd tundra coils and trd tokico shocks or n91 struts.

thats pretty much your choices.

Hey Big_D

I have the TRD Tokico front shocks w/ Tundra coils, and a 3/8" top spacer, 1" diff drop. With the Land Cruiser coils!! IMO my 4Runner rides better then stock on road!!

Shot with them on my Truck

I am not trying to be rude, but this is completely un-true.

There are more than a dozen different options...some of which will depend on how much you would like to spend.
  1. Tundra Coils
  2. OME Coils (different types)
  3. Sway Aways
  4. Fabtechs
  5. Donahoes
  6. Kings
  7. Downey's
  8. Cornfed Spacers
  9. Toytec Spacers
  10. Day Star Spacers
  11. Performance Products Coils
  12. All Pro Spacers
  13. All Pro Coil Overs

I just want people to see there are other options.

To answer the original question: IMO, the Tundra coils with OEM shocks (I use Tundra shocks) with a top spacer will be a nice compliment to the LC coils in the rear. It should ride like a Toyota from the factory.

Don't forget a diff drop and to extend your rear bump stops so you do not over compress your shocks. There are actually other issues to using the longer shocks. I suggest getting a kit from Sonoran Steel. They have addressed all of the issues as far as I know.

Good luck lifting your truck, welcome to YT.

but wouldnt sway aways, and 2 inch spacers give it too much rake since the LC coils give 4 inchs in the rear? I think think the revteks, toytec maybe and the tundra coils will get enougn to even it out

i have been thinking thats what i want to go with since i hear a lot of talk about the spacers riding rough and being "jittery" or riding harsh maybe... i want as close to oem ride as possible, i love the way the tundra rides...

is there a good spot to get the tundra coils/shocks/spacers for my 3rd gen?

i know i have to go with diff drop kit aswell
