Well, I guess it's time....

I just measured the height of my 4Runner -- From ground to rear fender = 36 inches. From ground to front fender = 37 inches.

1.5 Downy Coils and Bilsteins on the way to Colorado!

nice one, i want some bils for my tacoma too, but dont really need them. did you just replace the rear or front too? well anyways even just the rear will make your 4runner look soooooooo much nicer. too bad stuff for trucks costs MONEY. the government should pay for it or something!!!!!

Rowan.... I'm replacing all 4 corners. I'm wondering, with the front measuring 37 inches and the back measuring 36 inches before the install, will it end up being an even lift or will the front still be higher or will the back be higher?

After you put the Downey's on in the rear, you may need to crnak up your T bars to raise the front slightly.

I had to after the Downey's were put on. The front end was now lower than the "new" rear stance.

Whitey I have got a 94 with the same problem. It's came up alot lately. Are you doing the install yourself? If so could you take some pics and do a write up? I think there are a few out there on people's personal sites but none up in our tech section yet. I was all ready to order mine this week but I was a little hammered on Saturday, knocked my glasses off my face and stepped on them all in one swift move:rolleyes: I had to pay about $200 for a new set. Well I had my govt issue ones but I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them things in civilian clothes. They are absolutely terrible. There's a reason they are called BCG's (birth control glasses) hahaha. As I was paying today all I could think about was there goes my coils and 2 bils. Oh well maybe next payday......... life goes on.

We have a write-up on Downey coils in the Tech section.
https://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech/techpage3.htm

Although it would be nice to have another one also to see how different people put them on.

Do a write-up on the install, and I can add it.
