Water Leak

Water Leak

OK so in the past few days ive been using my air conditioning for the first time( i bought my 97 4runner this past winter) and there seems to be a large leak of water on the front passenger side. it is water but there is a lot of it so im wondering if this is normal. thanks

Completely normal. The A/C compressor and the coolant coils are right on top of that in the engine bay and it's just condensation dripping off.

On second though....how much is "a lot"? The windshield wiper resevoir is right behind the passenger headlights whereas the A/C compressor is near the passenger-side firewall so could you be more specific as to where the water is?

Depending on what fluid you put in your wiper resevoir it may pass as water in a quick glance.

thanks for the help. it is next to the pasengert firewall and its definately water so i guess it is AC condensation. this is my first car so i wasnt sure if that much was normal. i'll try and get a pic later to verify that its not too much.

I had a 95 T-100 and it would have water on the floorboard from the A/C sometimes it was a lil other times alot..eally depend on how humid it was outside..

Just under the truck today and yes--water from the AC. It is a little tube and it dripped water on me for awhile while i was under the truck. No worries i say

depending on how humid it is there can be alot of water. There's a drain tube and if this becomes plugged, it can overflow into the passenger compartment.
