Valve cover cracked but should I worry?

Due to a faulty torque wrench I cracked the corner of my valve cover. A hairline crack but a crack none the less.

I went ahead and finished the gasket job and it runs great - I see no oil leaking anywhere.

Is this something that could blow up in my face and I need a new one today or is this something to not lose sleep over? I already bought an extra gasket and new bolts incase I had to put a new cover on.

Thoughts?

I searched for an answer but nothing related to "should I worry or not" was found - so I started this thread.

can't see the crack but if you already bought some of the parts than just keep an eye on it and get to the scrap yard sometime, get a cover, change it out for peace of mind.

If it starts leaking you could also have it TIG welded up.

I guess I will ask an idiot question here... If taking the oil cap off when the truck is running can create a vacuum leak is in not possible for a crack to do the same? Just wondering

It is possible due to the PCV valve.
