v8 in a Tacoma?

Im new to the Tacomas and a acquired a 2000 2.7L 4x4 recently and its a turd. My previous daily driver which is garage kept now and under the knife was a low 12 sec 2000 Camaro Z28, big difference. My question is the tacoma needs way more power to satisfy me, im already looking into a supercharged 3.4l swap and all of the other goodies, but has it or can it be done....a 5.7L v8 swap??? Please let me know, Im wanting to start something soon while I have the chance to dig into it...before my little Nissan dies on me, lol.

check out customtacos.com. you can get amazing power out of the 3rz. There is a guy from paradise racing on there getting well over 900hp on a stock bottom end.
