Finished installing the new fuel pump. Took it out for a test drive and discovered that I had to turn down the injectors quite a bit. I can't believe the power that fuel pump opened up over 3000 RPM. I no longer have the hesitation above 3000. That hesitate became even more noticeable after I modified my MAF. Now that hesitation is completely gone. The truck pulls strong all the way to redline.

Will this change your fuel mileage at all?

 

I don't know. I will be monitoring that, though. And even if it does, a slight loss in MPG is acceptable when it means my engine won't be running so lean.
