About 3 months before I installed the LC springs, I replaced my stock shocks with Rancho's. I kept them after the install, hoping they'd do ok. They ride pretty well on road and do give enough travel for light to moderate wheeling.

I think Albuquerque Jim has this setup, he could tell you what he runs and shocks. I know he wheels his pretty hard. In the last run for the Yotatech 2006 Tour, he was beating the snot out of the front end, trying to get up an obstacle. The poor camera attached to his slider was kinda freakin out. We watched some of the video afterwards of him hitting it hard in the Tank Trap, pretty brutal. Anyhow, I digress; Jim, I believe has LC coils....

Thanks for the replys so far... I have new OME shocks with my 891's (that I will be selling)... anyways, I wondered how other guys did with OME shocks with the LC Coils (if they had enough travel, etc ) And ride quality.

Thanks!

Tank Trap? Are you talking about the one in Hollister Hills?

Oh and I already replied via PM, but, just for the record...

Right now my ride is very stiff...It was stiffer with my old OME shocks and larger spacers. Now, its a lot better with 1" spacers and LC coils., but, still damn stiff. Offroad, it is good. I like it a lot, and the flex is decent.

When you're planning on going really high, thats what happens with the stock configuration though. Thats why I said you should stick to the 4" front and 4-5" rear when you install your procomp lift. With my experience (and IM sure SteveO could relate) you dont want to go any higher with an IFS...just too tippy.

If you want to go higher, you'll need to redesign the rear end or just swap out to leafs to keep the ride good, as well as all-around effectiveness.

No, not that extreme. I'm talking about our local trail here in Santa Fe, called Tank Trap.

Yeah, I might pull out my front toytec 2.5 inch spacers and just use my stock coils / front shocks for now with the Procomp lift...then use LC Coils in the rear and see if I will need a small spacer...probally guessing I will need 1 to 1.5 inch rear spacer....

I am sorta hoping this install will go quick without any issues, as I promised my wife we will go wheeling and look at the fall colors in PA (sappy, but it works when spendin' some money on my rig )
