upgrading fuel system 3.4 S/C
#21
Unless you guys are running a ton of boost (like with a turbo or centrifugal supercharger), you should be using injector smaller than 400cc's. Even if you do, not only will it be overkill but then you'll find the idle very hard to control as well (you'll get more of the classic muscle car loping idle not the smooth idle toyotas are known for).

yea i think after searching about it i am going to go with something like 315cc injectors out of the 7mge. (cause i have them at home)...
what you say makes sense. ive just never had a problem. thats all. the computer controler from URD does not sound user friendly at ALL!!! why not just have a complete stand alone system made? i found them for the ball park of 850 bucks for my aplication a few months ago. ill try and find the site again.

Not user friendly? URD has probably the easiest thing going. It has "get you started" tuning maps that will have you running without touching a thing. Several of my friends never bothered to mess with the preprogrammed URD map because their trucks are running well and getting good mileage.

What other line of tuning solutions has a step by step tuning guide??

ive had serveral cars with big fuel systems and high horse power with the safc. my last one was an rx-7 with 750cc injectors and a 60 trim turbo. running 12.2 qtr mile in denver. so they run just fine with them if the user understands cars and how to tune them correctly. if tuned right you dont efven need to change the plugs. colder plugs is a bandaid fix. to disguise a mis-tuned fuel/ignition system.
Why are you asking questions if you already have your mind made up. You seem to have it all figured out. Just let us know how it turns out.
