Undercoating for a bedliner??

I just took my bedliner out on my Tacoma and I was wondering if you can use Undercoating from NAPA to use instead on Rhino(to much$$).

Has anyone used it before??

Thanks
Steve

You can, but it's not even close to the same. It's only textured paint really, sure won't help protect against heavy scratches or dents. Also you would want to be sure and check the type of undercoating - some of it dries hard and some stays kinda sticky forever... Undercoating is probably not the right stuff, you probably want texture paint - they make some for lower body panels to texture them and cushion against rock chips. You can get it in spray cans. But either way, it is not similar to rhino liner or lineX or whatever, but it's way better than nothing. That's what I have - see pic below. (lousy pic, best I could find)

I wouldnt, too soft and easily torn. Try Duplicolor bedliner, its cheaper than Rhino.

I tried it on an old bed of mine and it gets relly soft in sunlight and rips off and leaves a nasty residue on the bed.

The duplicolor stuff is not too bad for $50. A gallon is plenty btw.
