hey all. my yota is suffering from some minor "cancer" underneath. just at some joints... some paint on the rear axle is coming off and showing some rust... some brackets. etc... i wanna take care of this before it gets REAL bad! does anyone have any suggestions on wat kind of paint to use? just take steel wool to it and scrap off the rust then coat it with some rustoleum? have you guys heard of duraback? http://www.nonslipcoating.com/

I have had good luck with Rustoleum in the past for minor stuff. Usually last quite a while. For axles, frame, etc, I prefer to use the brush-on Rusto paint instead of a rattle can.

I know a guy at a body shop who is rather a perfectionist and according to him, the only way to do it right is to sand blast each piece off of the truck then use this high-tech primer stuff called POR-15 before painting with a good quality paint. This is mostly for the body though. This stuff is amazing, but expensive and you need a good air sprayer to get good results.

I have never heard of the other stuff you mentioned.
