Thumbs up UK 4-Runner/Surf Extravaganza!!

Drove 120 miles today to meet up with a bunch of guys from a Hilux Surf I met over here. The occasion was an indoor 4X4 show. We met before hand at another location. Had 9 of us all together. Really awesome to get that many rigs that are very similiar to each other together, especially rare ones such as a the surf in the UK. Saw some neat set ups and some cool mods. I think mine was the most modded out of all of them. It was great to get alot of compliments. Glad to see not just I think my truck looks good!!
The show was mostly Land Rover stuff. All I bought was some surplus German uniforms.. Their camo pattern is sooo cool! I took some Rover pics for those of you who are into them.. Here's the pics!

8 Surfs.. all diesel one 4-Runner 3.0 Petrol baby!!!

This truck had lift of some sort.. them tires are 31's.. First imported double cab I have seen over here... notice the small mirror on the fender like the surfs have.

Overall it was a good day.. too bad we didn't get to go wheeling maybe next time!

Damn, look at all those Toyotas. Very cool Joey, looks like alot of fun. You know what though, almost all the pictures that you show are dreary, as in no sun, just cloudy. Is that how it is over there most of the time? That sucks if it is! :fireman:

Btown ya there were Yota's everywhere you looked.. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside..haha Best part was being with guys who shared the same passion as I do on my truck and don't think it's psychotic to spend hundreds of dollars on it! Also it's not always dreary here it only looks like that about 363 days a year..haha Seriously winters here suck rain cold rain more cold.. I don't mind cold but snow is much better than rain!

Hey Joey,

Post some pics of the camo you bought too! Is it East or West German?

Bob

Nice Toyotas Joey.
Thanks for sharing the pics with us.

That maroon 4 door Hilux truck is very nice.
I am glad that Toyota started making the 4 door Tacos over here now.

Todd I should find out here really soon like in the next few weeks where I am going. Think I have a pretty good shot at coming to Spokane, WA but I could just as easily go to Grand Fork, ND too.

Not to spook ya but things are unstable here in Washington.
Boeing has sold the plant in Spokane and people are real unhappy. Our taxes are going out the roof and unemployment is real high.
A couple of months ago we had voted to return our car tabs back to $30 per vehicle. Well the hungry lawmakers took it to court and overturned it saying it was "unconstitutional":wtf:

If i lost my job here i would pack up and head some place else.

Hopefully you will have a decent job when you get out

It would be nice to meet up with ya though
