U-Joint information needed, quickly
I'm looking at getting an All-Pro Long Spline Drive Shaft kit to accomodate the 56" leaf springs. There is a shop in town that can install this kit on my existing driveshaft, but there are a couple of hang ups.
1) The All-Pro kit uses a 85 4Runner 4cyl, U-joint,
PN# 04371-35051.
2) The 99 4Runner V6 Automatic U-joint is:
PN# 04371-35061.
3) The 99 4Runner V6 5spd U-joint is:
PN# 04371-35051.
what should I do......

So you're goin leafs in the rear eh? That'll be some pretty mad flex, on top of what you have already!
I don't have an answer to ur ?, sorry. But have you tried calling them and asking?

Just got off the phone with a guy at marlin's shop. He stated that it would be much cheaper to have my existing driveshaft re-tubed to the new length. As it is now, I don't get a whole lot of driveline stretch, and with the new springs, I shouldn't be getting that much stretch. I think I have about 5 inchs of spline on my existing setup, need to take another look at it.

You know Steve, that would be my suggestion, too. Get it re-tubed and balanced at a drive shaft shop. Often times they can replace all of the stock tube with better (sometimes lighter) tube, and make it really nice. Check out your yokes and output shafts for any rock scares, too. New u-joints and new tube should make it pretty much vibration-free. I may have some time the week after Christmas weekend to come down and help/check out the leafs...

The lab is closed for bid-nuss from 12/25 to 1/4. I am taking off the entire two weeks, starting on the 19th...I haven't been able to use any leave time since the CO4RJ, so... Other than honey-dos, and a trip to see my mom on x-mas day, I may have an extra day to come help out, wife's permission pending, of course

Or course, an unhappy wife makes for an unhappy husband. I know this one well after 11.5 years.

I will revote on the retubing idea, if your shaft is still a stocker that would make sense. If it were made aftermarket and might be of use to someone else, I would sell it off and go new.
So that 44 found a home under the front of your rig Steve?
If things go well, I will be headed to the greater southwest area after the first of the year if you have fun stuff done/to do on the runner.

With the All-pro spring lift in the rear, I will have around 6.5" of lift. In the front (for now) I'll have Breezy's 4" pro comp lift, plus what ever the downey coils will give me, I'm guessing about 2.5" out of the coils. This will gve me about 6.5 in the front. THEN, with a 2" body lift trade from waskillywabbit, i think the total lift will be around 8.5". At this point, I should be able to run 35" meats with no issues.
However, the SAS WILL be in the future, but not for some time. That is gonna cost some serious cash, of which I don't have right now. The reason I'm doing the rear suspension is due to the control links tearing the frame link tabs away from the frame. I am putting way too much torque on the locating links' mounting points. So, away they go, and hear come the leafs.

tippy, I dunno. I know the best lift would be to have the center of gravity low, and large tires, but I just can't see hacking off sooo much sheet metal. After I roll it, then I can start hacking....its all part of the grand plan.
