Good thing these aren't production or I might have some explaining to do to the wife.

That's awsome!

Is your engine built up internally?(like pistons, rods, crank, etc.) 10 pounds of boost seems high for a stock engine.

All stock internals - the head has never even been off my motor. There are guys running 10 lbs with the trd S/C which pumps out alot more heat than an intercooled turbo set-up. I think 12 lbs is about the limit with some timing pulled.

Off road but not anything too serious (logging roads, mild trails to get camping etc..).

Very cool Greedy. I have yet to sell off my Supra CT26 turbocharger, HKS blowoff valve and wideband 02--still dreaming of a way to get it under my hood and somehow make it look like something it's not to get it through the visual California smog inspection. Anyways, looking forward to seeing some numbers!

Yeah, I'm lucky up here in WA. No visual inspection, no tail pipe sniffer - they just plug up to the obdII port, take a reading and call it good!

yes and no to that, im not sure but my brother has done both with two different cars and actually the one with the rear mount works better and more efficient at lower ranges.

are you sure thats not a result of a different sized turbo?

Although it didn't come from the factory with either a turbo or s/c, the 5VZ-FE engine was designed for forced induction so there's no need to replace engine internals unless you're gonna up the boost pressure to high levels.

I have been running 11.5 psi for over a year at 120,000 miles... my 5vz has put up with so much abuse its amazing that mine hasnt rocketed something yet. PS> This turbo setup is my dream for down the road when i dont have a budget anymore. I plan on either doing the 2j swap, a small black turbo, or an SR20 turbo...

I am using a MAP-ECU2 and URD's Port Fueler (AIC). I have not had time to go to the dyno yet - plus they have been booked alot. I am planning on heading back in September after work quiets down a little...

too cool. so, I'mguessing my Airresearch T04 would be a bit big, but it ran nice on my MJ Jeep. are you running the factory cam/timing?

and lawfully, you must post video's of this. otherwise we may revoke your truck.

I am going to take a video of it next dyno run..promise

I used to have a Full t4 on there and it wasn't bad. However, I wanted to spool quicker and move my power band down which the new t3/t4 I put on did. I may have lost some at the top end but it drives alot better now and is alot more responsive.

And yes, factory cams..
