TRD

Just browsing around looking for stuff to spend my money on and I noticed something on the TRD site. There is practically nothing on there for 1st or 2nd gen 4Runners. The only item available for earlier Runners is air filters for the 89* models.

Where's the love for the older models? Am I missing something? Atleast give us some superchargers!

-Keith

EDIT: If you count parts for pre-1996 Tacomas there are 3 parts.

You all have enough problem keeping the heads down on the block.

there will be no love for older trucks--they are supposed to be slow. Besides, who in their right mind would modify a 3.0 engine? the 22r is a different story, but the 3.0 cant do much of anything without exploding or failing. remember, the 3.0 is slow but lasts forever.

In all honesty I probably wouldn't order the supercharger anyway. But it'd be nice to have some of the nifty stuff that 3rd gens get.

Just like just about every manufacturers perfomance division, they could care less about older vehicles. Toyota is in the business of selling cars, new cars. If they supported older vehicles, how could they sell new cars? Everything that any manufacturer does is aimed at the first owner usually for no more than five to seven years. They could care less about second and third owners because other than parts and service, they can't make any money from them. It's kinda like GM's much ballyhooed 100K tuneup guarantee. Sure, the vehicles last 100K before tuneup was needed but lord help the second or third owner who happens to have the vehicle when that tuneup comes due. Can you say "expensive", I knew you could. Sorry for the rant. My 2¢

LC Engineering doesnt sell much of anything for the 3.0 (3VZ-FE). i think maybe u were looking at where it says "3RZ" and that is the 2.7 (3RZ-FE). they have plenty of products for toyota 4 bangers, but very little for the V6's

I remember reading someone saying that, they spent over $10,000 on the 3VZ and only shaved off 2 seconds off of the 0-60 time. Stock 0-60 is 13+ secs.

I dunno what my zero to 60 time is but it's faster than 13 seconds. It's when it comes to hills and pulling stuff that mine really blows. Don't forget about the TRD license plate frame, receiver hitch cover, gear shift, decals and oil cap. These will add at least 50 RWHP if not more

The whole reason I started this topic is because I was thinking about taking off my factory decal stripe. Then I ws thinkg, a TRD sticker would look cool. But then I was thinking I don't have any TRD parts on my 4Runner so I decided to see what was available.

I thought there was atleast an exhaust package or heads or something. I guessed wrong...

I put TRD decals on my rear windows and this morning after work when I went to wash my runner the pass side decal peeled off. I was UMMM ˟˟˟˟in pissed. Thats what I get for buying TRD wanna be decals from Eschmay. Paid $16 or so. Anyone know where to get the GOOD STUFF (TRD decals).

Blue

Doesnt TRD have clutches, hedders, fuel system components, and the TRD grill that has got to tell those ponys to giddy up & go?
