Tranny Flush

Ok guys, especially in the denver metro area, can you recommend a shop that actually pulls the tranny pan off, cleans the filter, and flushes the tranny correctly?

I've called several shops including the burt toyota and none of them drop the pan.

I've considered flushing it myself but it isn't the preferred method.

Thanks.

I couldn't find one either, so I dropped the pan myself, changed the filter, cleaned the magnets, refilled with ATF, and drove to a Jiffy lube for the flush with 16 quarts of Mobil 1 ATF. :pat:

Well, since I can't seem to find a shop to do it the right way, I'm left with doing it myself like bamachem has posted in another thread or taking into the stealer.

The stealer technician I talked to said they do the flush "both ways".
I'm not really sure what that means but he wasn't concerned with clogging the filter.

Not sure I have the same confidence in their process but they must do a lot vehicles in this manner so perhaps I'm to paranoid.

Anyone know or have heard of this two-way flush?

I wouldn't be concerned with the filter either, mine was mostly clean at about 100,000 miles, the magnets on the other hand were covered with a slimey muck.

You'll have to ask the tech what he meant by both ways.

I think the filter (really just a fine metal screen) is good for life, it appears to me that it kind of gets back flushed every time the truck is turned off. I had already bought one before I dropped the pan, so I replaced it anyway, but I probably should have taken it back for a refund and left the filter alone.

I took mine to the dealership. Was like $150, but much better than having it done for $70 at the shop that told me Mobil 1 doesnt make ATF fluid
