Trail Gear Sliders Installed w/ pics
Finally got my TG sliders installed, order the one TG recommended for my 4Runner (http://www.trail-gear.com/rocksliders.html). I think they are a bit on the short side (58"), I think another 4 inches would have looked a lot better, but oh well.
They were fitted then welded on to the frame. I orginally wanted to bolt them on but it would have been way too much work to remove the gas tank on the drivers side to get the bolts through... so weld it was.
Here are the pics:

wow those are short, what length are those. I only say that because, on my fj40 I drag the hardest right before and after the wheels. Like when i an lining up a rock for the rear tire, or when i am dropping off a rock with the front tire.

There's a bit too much space for my liking. When we measured it and lined it up, there was just over a quarter inch between the legs and the pinch weld underneath, after welding, there's about a half an inch. So that being said, between the bottom of the door and the top of the slider, it's probably an inch, maybe just a touch over.

Trail Gear has it on their site for $135, I paid about total $220 to get the sliders and have them shipped to Canada. Then UPS charged me another $50 for duty, labour was free.
I'm sure they will save me a ton of money in damage in the long run, but until then, I'm going to say that I paid $270 too much for sliders that came up short
