tire ?
So I have a stock tacoma....v6 auto....And I am going to put a 3in suspension lift on it probaley w/ a differential drop and I dont know about the back yet. But....What size tires should I go w/? I was thinking of 33x12.50's but I want to know if that is going to cause many problems w/ stock gearing and what not.
Thanks

depends what gears you have now and also what size your current tires are... there will be some loss in performance, but until we know what the gear ration you have now and what size tires you have, ther eis no way of calculating

Well I can't find it yet so I am looking somewere else. All I know is that the truck is badged w/ a TRD sticker and that it dosn't have the electronic locker. It doea have the manual hubs up front though and it is an auto tranny. I dont know if that helps.

you will probably be ok with power, i went from 31x10.50's to 33x12.50's on my 2.7 5speed taco, and didn't loose much power
and the fact that you have an auto i would bet that you have a 4.56 ratio
and the fact that you have an auto i would bet that you have a 4.56 ratio

Ive got a 98 Tacoma v6 5spd and I am running 32X 11.50 AT's under a 2.75" lift (SAW Coilovers and TM ADD-A-LEAF and Bilstein 5100's). I trimmed the plastic of the innner fenders covering the pinch weld, but didnt flatten the pinch weld, and i have no rubbing issues what so ever. As far as power goes, you wont notice any difference. Ive got stock 4.10 gears , and im willing to bet that you do too. As far as I know, the only Toyota that came stock with 4.56 is some sort of 2nd generation v6 4 runner, not positive though. I know guys running 33x12.50's on stock gearing with auto tranny's, and still dont have too much of a power loss. So to answer your question, you will be just fine with 3" and 32x11.50's on stock gearing.
