Get that FJ trail-ready so you're not stuck in the garage all summer!!!

Just my humble opinion...

Yeah, I was surprised to see this pop back up, although its interesting to see how little progress I've made on the FJ40 since starting this thread! I did buy paint this week, and am finishing up sanding/priming the doors. An hour here, an hour there...baby steps....

I just installed the TRD supercharger, URD supercharger performance kit and the URD 2.2" pulley. I probably have about 10 hours on install time, I did it over the past 4 days. Nothing is difficult, just the time it takes to do each add on. I have 51K on my truck. I've been thinking about the supercharger for about two years now, but didn't want to run the 93 octane gas. I wanted more power to pull my boat and since I drive the truck very little the cost shouldn't amount to much. I figure it's probably less than $100 a year for the difference in gas cost and gas mileage and know it will be worth it for the additonal power. I still have about 10 minutes of work to do, reinstall a plastic cover near the ECU and install the glove box, then I can take it for a spin. From what I heard a LSD may be needed for better traction now... I paid about $3100 for everything.
