There was a click then it all went black!

Hi all I tried to start my 97 3.4l 4wd this morning. I hit the key and all went black. The power came back on after a few seconds so I hit the key again and all went black again. The "Autozone" battery is only a year or 2 old. The battery posts are clean. Any ideas?

Jeff

The autozone battery! Sounds like the battery is dead. Have you tried jump starting it?

it may just be drained. Maybee youre alternator is not charging or you left the lights on or something. I would have it jumped off and take it to Autozone to have them check it out. They will check the battery and the alt. for free.

Check the battery connections too.
Its common to have those symptoms if you have a loose one.
