switch

anyone know what this switch is? it is located on the left of the stearing wheel

it is on a 1995 4runner sr5 4x4 22re

It should be the safety overide. Turn your key to the on position and push it. the vehicle will start with the clutch NOT depressed, whether it is in gear or not. Be careful!!!

It is the driver seat ejector button! OR the clutch cancel switch....

hehe i didnt fly out when i tried it but it doesnt start unless the clutch is pressed i tried. the light goes on when the ignition is on and unable to turn the light off till i turn the ignition off.

Im positive its the Clutch Cancel Switch (CCS). Insert key, turn to on, press that button, and start...

ONLY do that if you are absolutely positive that your truck is not in gear, and the e-brake is on..

Not true, you can accually use it to drive your truck a short distance. Put you truck in gear, press the CCS and turn the motor over. Can be helpful in some situations....

yes this is what i did to get me to the mechanic when they replaced the clutch master cylinder. saved me at least $200!
