Sway bar question?

I need to replace my front sway bar bushing and brackets (rusted and one broke). I bought new stuff but they don't come with the mounting bolt. So I went to Lowes and bought the worrect metric bolts that fit, but there not grade 5 or 8, there Class 8 hex nuts and class 8.8 hex cap screws (bolts), are these the same as grade 8? Or where can I get grade 8 metric bolts and nuts?

also where can I find rear sway bar bushings? I want to replace them also.

Thanks
Bob

10.9 metric is more like grade 8.

Grade 8 is around, I had to call a few places but finally a mom-n-pop hardware store had them.

Do a search for rear bushings, there's kits out there. I'd recommend the greaseable front bushings though since aftermarket bushings have the tendancy to squeak.

From: used to be so. cal. now Indy
better pay some good money at stealership for that kinda stuff. the nut was designed to be self-tighten, like a ny-lock nut but without the nylon washer. it provents the nut backing out while driving. if you decided to use regular hex nut, use a second one as jam nut.

edit:

Ok, I did a little research, actually just flipping through the Grainger catalog happened to be just handy. the type of nut is called "Deformed Thread Locknuts"

"In addition to working as regular nuts, these
locknuts feature irregular internal threads that
lock onto the mating threads of a bolt or rod and
prevent rotation or loosening. Right-hand thread
direction."

you can find it here: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/catalogPDF.shtml
then at "go to page: " type in "2530"

the one you need is CONICAL TOP FLANGE
