swaped boxes gas filler hose problem..

I just swaped a new box from a US 88 pickup onto my 84 Canadian pickup. The swap was great except for the fact that now the gas filler hose doesnt fit into the box. Has anyone run into this problem. Any suggestions on a fix?

Does it just not reach?
There may be some "slop" in the connection to the tank itsself.
Maybe enought to reach the filler hole and still attach to the tank?
If not, time to get some longer hose.

do you mean your filler won't fit the new tank? than try to get a US filler hose. if the hose is not long enough, cut your filler in half and add a rubber hose extension like they do for body lifts.

good luck.
