Thumbs down Suspension rant!!!

As I was looking on the web for 4 Runner accessories I noticed a few things about other suspension manufacturers. Hardly any have support for 3rd Gen 4runners. I did notice ALOT of them did support newer Chevy's and Ford's. What gets me is that these companies make lifts for newer chevy's and ford's where ALL of the factory driveline specs are maintained such as cv angles, ect. Why doesn't anyone make something like this for the 3rd Gen Runners????? I'd like to have a nice 6" lift and maintain the factory driveline specs, wouldn't you?

That is one of the many reasons I sold my 96. Quite frustrating. And not only suspension wise. Bumpers and other offroad products are not made for that truck.

Hey Adam (off topic a bit here) have you had any luck finding a 1st Gen yet?

Just curious is all

No luck really. Every truck I find is either a POS rustbucket, or an automatic. I guess it's going to take time. Man, I am having serious 4Runner withdrawls. All I can think of all day long is 4Runners. It's killing me.

aww man Runner withdrawls I here ya there. Mine's sitting out in the driveway and I can't drive it with this big ol cast on my foot. I am not sure what's worse not having one at all or having one and just looking out the window at it. Least after I bolt my Borla on this week I can sit out in the drive and rev the engine and listen to it..hahaha

LoL...poor guy. I kind of know how you feel. Mine's been in the shop since yesterday morning to get my roof fixed and re-painted. I am picking it up after work today though, w/the roof rack bar (from Wild_Bill, thx again) to install.

I can't wait to get it back...

HBoss - what happen to your roof??? My ride is on the verge of needing to be repainted also. So many rock dings all over!!! The roof has a nice scratch in it also from when I was putting on my roof rack. My gf's little brother dropped it on the roof and THEN dragged it across!!! I was very angry!

But ˟˟˟˟˟ happens

Ughh...that's horrible to hear. I kind of know how you feel...

This is what happened to my roof:

The body shop guy told me it's a good thing I'm getting it fixed anyway, because there is massive hail damage on it and my hood. You can't notice it unless it's under direct light and you're looking at the proper angles. I never even knew it had hail damage, but fine..I'm not about to run out and buy a new hood for it too.
