I searched over @ TTORA and found this:
Supra MAF search
I read a few others, and the general consensus is no, it only helps with SC engines. Hope this helps....

Heed to the voices in your head... "Save The Pennies" "Save The Pennies" "Save The Pennies"
There's no cheap mod to get you past where you are in terms of HP. But like we've talked about, once you get to S/C land - you'll be able to spend a TON of pennies!

So true. I think Mark and I went down similar paths to try and get more power...although I changed my gearing (4.10 to 4.30). You're going to have to trust us on this one. Save for the SC'r and mods.
(It took me 3 years before I wised up).

I drove a Taco running 300CHP (at least) without a VB upgrade and I cringed on the 1 - 2 shift at WOT.
Cut corners now, pay for it later.

My recommnedation all along to folks has been to a) do the fuel mods, b) do the VB upgrade. If you can't afford to do either, then don't put on the supercharger.
I paid for not having done the VB upgrade.
But yes... I will help you swap your tranny when the time comes. I've done it once, and ain't a pro of course, but I'm confident that I could now help someone else out.
