Supra LSD Mod for IFS ADD

I am going to give the Supra LSD idea a shot--But question being--since the i have ADD, unless I converted to locking hubs--would the front diff still "wear". I know it still rotates and only the drive shaft is disconnected but would it still wear the clutch packs down or because there is no drive shaft "pressure" it would just rotate like an open diff with little to no lock-up.

Also-once one wheel is in the air the Clutch type (Supra) LSD would stop locking up and act like an open diff? I.e. it would act just like a True Track LSD. If that is the case--that is a bummer

Soon i will have the most powerful 3rd Gen IFS 4Runner in the world Muuuuhaaaaaa

Just kidding but some expert input would be wunderbar

Cheers Henry

the clutch-type LSD will act like an open diff when one wheel is in the air. A trutrac LSD will still have 15% power transferred to the wheel with traction because the trutrac has a 85-15 torque bias.

If a Supra LSD is used on the heavier 4Runner, won't it hasten its wear since it was designed for use on a lighter vehicle? Although it's well known fact that the Supra was very much overdesigned and overbuilt... especially it's drivetrain

Really wish i could get the Eaton E-Locker. Dont want to go the route of ARB. Friend has an ected in the front of his jeep and all he has to do is push a switch and it is done. No air and no compressor. I guess i thought the clutch type would sense the slip and transfer torque--oh well--locked in the rear and open up front is how it has to be.
