If you are talking about in the steering shaft where you put the spacer in. If so I could not get the bolts off with the nut at the bottem. I just took the upper nuts off. The with the lift it pulled rite apart. My spacer only had to bolts to replace two of the stock bolts stayed unmoved.

Seriously, if you have already lifted it with that steering extension tight the whole time it might be in such tension it ain't coming off. I loosened mine before I ever started lifting.

There is a bunch of junk up there in the steering area where you are to put the extension. We took out the whole assembly, what I mean is we pulled the splines apart and then put the spacer in the top part after we took it out using just those two bolts, I think, and put in the two longer bolts with the spacer, then lined the splines back up and wala!

I actually haven't put the lift in, we called it a night, because we had to take the bumper/winch off to get at the front body mount. seeing as it is 10 now, we probably wouldn't be done until 12, or so, and my friend has a test tomorrow he needs to study for.

I was just trying to get it off after he left, and couldn't
so I pb blastered it some more to see if that helps tomorrow

Nope, didn't take any pics when I did the mod. I will take some when I take it off.

In Roger's pic, you see the two new shiney bolts that he has going through the steering extension, I took the other two loose and removed the whole thing from the spline, took out the whole little assembly and on the work table removed those other two bolts, put in the steering extension and the new bolts, put it back on the spline and then bolted it back together.

if you can get a brass bar in there and tap the bolt head a couple times with a ball pein hammer, not hard like you're trying to mangle it, just a couple good solid taps like you do when the jelly jar lid is stuck on. that may bust her loose without the need for air tools. good luck dude.

isn't the steering lock engaged? it should only go a few degrees if it is.

try turning your wheel while the ignition is off and the key is out of the tumbler, it should lock after a few degrees.
