Stubb's Rear Bumper

wasn't someone on here recently having Stubb's welding make them a rear bumper for a 3rd gen 4runner? Does anyone have any pictures of it?

Alan (HaveBlue) inquired about that, but sounded like Richard hasn't had time to work on it, so no, one hasn't been completed yet. To my knowledge anyway.

Alan will probably chime in later tonight as he recently lost access to YT at work during the day. I just can't imagine what he's going through!

The ORS' bumper can be found on their site. I believe that is Kerry's, who you speak of from the board, but I'm waiting for him to reply to a message I sent to confirm.

I didn't know the 2nd Gen was for sale. That is Mike Hershauer's which you are referring to? That is the sweetest 4Runner I have ever seen, and yes, the bumper is cool, too.

I assume you mean that you couldn't find it on the site. You didn't look long enough, but it's in their showcase section. Not much info, though. That's the only picture of the bumper they have. They have another one of the 4Runner on the same page.

that is officially my favorite rear bumper made for a 3rd gen thus far. i still really like Hersch's with the 1x4 laid across the back and the receiver mounted below...that is the ultimate in ground clearance.

I think he paid about 1100 bucks for that rear bumper too.

Here is Mike's Bumper.
http://www.focusaz.com/Truck%20Photos/Bumper.html

His Earthlink site had more, but it's taken down now since he doesn't use them for an ISP, but it stayed up for quite awhile after he quit.

I have the pics on my hard drive from his Earthlink page, I'll have to dig them up and post them later, if I can find them.

There were also pics on www.kongs4x4.com but their site is now gone.

And yes, I dig his rear bumper, and showed it to Jeff at www.badlandbumpers.com and he said he could dupe it, but your rig would have to be there in order to get it made.

Thanks Corey! I like it! That's how I want my rear tire carrier, because I like the idea of it being centered instead of offset to one side. The only difference I'm going to do is have it open the other way since I'm the driver and would come from that side everytime.

i would like to see a picture from the side, to show how it wraps around the body and how far it sticks out in the back. it is one awesome bumper.

The story I got was that the dude stopped fabricating stuff so that he could spend time with his wife and newborn baby. That was a couple years ago. I guess he's quit for good. Too bad because I'd be willing to pay good $$$ for a copy of that bumper.
