plus if you pull over to grab something out of the back you won't be swinging the carrier out towards the road.

Me and a buddy of mine are going to make mine. Probably going to start on the rear one in the next couple of weeks. The metal is so cheap, and he knows how to weld, and I know what I want. It's going to work out great!

Thanks Brian. I've already seen the rockeware bumpers, but I still prefer the design of the "Mike Hersch" bumper. It has a much simpler design.

cool, where did you find that mount? did you make it? i made an honest 1 month effort and came up with no solution. looks like you did! that is awesome! i would appreciate any further advice on how you accomplished that mount for the license plate. great work, i commend you!

 

that is mighty steve's like million dollar FJ-40 license plate brackey i do believe.

 

That is one genuine early 80's real live Toyota FJ-40 Land Cruiser license plate bracket. Yes it was expensive, I got it from a junk yard and restored it. New bulbs, 1 new upper cover.

Plan on around $150 for that little gem. When I was designing my bumper, I started with the FJ-40 bracket and everything else arund it. You may also want to look into a 1990 4Runner rear tire carrier plate bracket.

Hello everyone.

I was supposed to start making a rear bumper up some time ago for a yotatech member , and unfortunately I never got to much further than trying to round up some specialty parts (latches,etc.).
One thing that concerns me is that I would not want to have to sell them for more than 600-700 , and trying to figure out how to keep costs in line with this price point is proving to be difficult. At this point all we are doing is sliders in four different styles , and three different price points. Our web site has been screwed up for atleast three weeks , and it will be finished & back online in a week or so.
Dont count us out of the bumper market BUT I can not even make a fair estimate as to when it may be possible for us to expand our product line. At this point in time making sure we meet our three day order to delivery on sliders is paramount , and I do not want to advertise any other product unless I know for certain I can promise a exact delivery date.
I do want to cover the bases alittle more in the future however for the mean time I am content in kicking everyones a$$e$ with our current pricing, and that keeps us fairly busy!
