Stoptech Big Brake Kit Installed w/pics :)

Got my 355mm Stoptech big brake kit in and installed. Pretty overkill but they look great and are much MUCH better than stock at stopping the truck.

Here's the box for the right side caliper and rotor. When they say BIG, they really mean it.

Stoptech calipers vs stock calipers

Stoptech slotted rotors vs stock rotors

Installed

Installed with rims back on

Side shot of the truck (excuse the dirty driveway)

So far I'm very impressed with the quality of the Stoptech kit.

Holy Crap....

I have the 332 StopTech kit on my Audi S4.

Totally overkill for the 355 kit on the 4Runner...that being said.....damn, those look so FAT....

StopTechs are the best brakes for the buck...good choice.

Nice looking brakes. Really make the Runner look like a runner. hehe. Now, to find a matching conversion for the rear.

Cool! I'm liking the Volk wheels and that front mount too!

Tell us more about the turbo system. Since you're in Florida, I'm thinking maybe a Toyomoto setup of some kind?

Those brakes are MASSIVE. Just one question...how are you gonna clean that orange brake fluid residue from the driveway? I have the same problem in my driveway from this past weekend.

The website says they are like $2300, YIKES!!!
http://www.stoptech.com/cgi/Products.cgi

I'd cobble on a set of Tundra or Sequoia disks before I put out that kind of cash.

kwel thanks for your response....so I'm showing my ignorance here but I'm asuming that to use the larger rotors I'll need to get larger wheels ( I currently have 16x8 no lift) and to use larger wheels I'll need to put a lift on the rig so as to not rub??? hmmmm lets see about 500-700 for lift/1200 for a good set of 18x8 wheels and tires to match/and 2300 for the rotors and calipars.....dammm I'll need a second and third job........it sucks not having money........

if you have enough money u can turbo anything even if they dont make a 'kit' for it...its all about who you know and how good a fabricator such person is...dont let the fact that that they don't make a 'kit' for your vehicle discourage you from going turbo....

---theres nothing like the sound of a big turbo spooling on a cool night....gotta love cold dense air...

those wheels aare defenitly 18's...my Stoptechs are only 315mm and i barely was able to shoe-horn them in inside the 17's on my talon

Nice! I sell the Rotora kit, and you don't want to know the price. Infiniti owners go nuts over them.
