Spider webs where??

When I found my truck it was sitting for a lil over a year parked under a pine tree and it was a mess. Inside the truck were alot of spider webs that I cleaned out and hopefully got rid of all the spiders. Well once I did the engine swap, the truck wouldn't idle right....so I checked the TPS and there were dead spiders inside there. How did they get there I have no idea. Kinda creepy, right? Well the other day I was installing my HID's that I retro-fitted from a donor Nissan Maxima. When I pulled the stock headlight bulbs out, there were more dead spiders living in the plug itself. Once I hooked up the HID's I noticed somthing a bit odd, a couple of spider webs inside the actual lenses, both sides!! It kinda looks cool because of the effect but I just had to share this with you all.

BTW, I plan on changing the headlights to the upgraded 01 style soon anyway.

What kind of spideys? We had a cool thread on balck widows not too long ago. I hope it wasn't them (or a brown recluse)! Also what part of the country was the truck in when it got it's spideys?

I love spiders - I just don't like when they love me back

im a pansy when it comes to spiders. I hate them, well only when they are on me or around me and not behind a glass window. Thats crazy that the spiders got into all of those spaces.

neither black widows, or brown recluses build webs to my knowledge, so I think your safe.

...unless of course the spiders were little white ones....
Then, well your probably in big trouble.

Just Kidding. Small white spiders sounds harmless enough...but spider bites are nasty, if not deadly...so keep your eyes open. Go get a little bug bomb at Lowes, and put the truck in the garage, and bug bomb the garage with all of the windows of the car open, and the hood, and everything. That'll get 'em!!

Actually, Black Widows do spin webs, but it doesn't sound like that's what you're dealing with. What you're dealing with is the extremely rare "ArachnaBlanca Vehicularius Stationarius'.

Otherwise known as the "White Sitting Truck Spider".

i hate finding egg sacs that squish...

spiders seem to live where there would absolutely be no food? & how they get into sealed places still amazes me.

ive gotten a sitting car back on the road and will still find webs in odd places a week later

The spiders are called Toyos and they come from Japan. They will only live in Toyotas and they are only deadly to Chevy and Ford owners and a few others. If you love Toyota's you have nothing to fear. They are better than having an alarm system. One look at all of those suckers and no one is going to break in, Lol.

Eeewww.... creepy. Last night when I was driving home from work, I looked over to the driver side about to change lanes, and there was a huge freakin spider on the window staring at me. I had to pull over and get rid of him. I like spiders, but he was too close for comfort. Found a huge web in the back seat today. Time to get out the shop vac.
