Spare Tire Wheels

This might sound crazy, but has anyone ever run a set of the black spare tire wheels on their 4Runner? I really like basic looks of them. If anyone has a picture, I'd love to see.

someone popped up not too long ago asking the same thing. i was thinking about running them on a set of used 315 mtrs i was going to pick up but never got around to it. i know a good bit of fj's have them but personally i think a pc'd set would look sick on 3rd gens. bump for request

They do Exist!

They do exist! Every FJ cruiser i have ever seen has the alloys. The local dealer wont even order them without them. IMHO they look better than the alloys.

Well, I guess I'm going to be the first. I've got 2 suppliers who can get me 2 wheels each with all four totaling $220. I'm going to order one of the hub caps in the FJ picture above to see if it will work with my 16" wheel. I'm also going to order a set of 1" wheel spacers to get rid of the minor rubbing I have with the upper control arms. I'll post pictures as soon as I have everything put on.

Well, I went ahead and ordered them up. I'm still not 100% that this is gonna look great, but we'll see. At least, it will be something different. I bought my wheels from Transwheel, which is an OEM wheel refinisher. I got them for $50/ea. They are hard to find. I called a lot of places to find 4 of them. Transwheel had 3 and are looking in all of their locations for the 4th. I then ordered a set of center caps for the FJ Cruiser steel wheels (see the pic a above). As soon as I get everything in and the new wheels mounted, I'll post pictures.
