Someone's using my pics

With my permission of course

I was just doing a search for some stainless steel D ring shackles, and I decided to see if 4x4 Connection had any.
They don't have them.
I saw a website awhile back that had nice oval shaped shackles that were stainless steel and look real nice.

I had wrote to them a few months back if they wanted to use some pics of mine for their site to illustrate the ARB bumper for a 2nd gen 4Runner.
The pics they had were kind of distorted.

Just saw that they have my pics up now for the '86 to '95 rigs.
I wonder if I can get a discount

Corey that's awesome! I would love to be able to say a company wanted to use my truck to advertise with!

I noticed that about a week ago. Your rig is pretty unmistakeable. I thought you were getting some kind of kickback from them since they were using your pics. It's cool to have pics of your rig on their site.

They are a good group of dudes at 4x4 Connection. I had them install my rear ARB locker.

Thanks guy's.
I have only bought one thing from them in the past, but I like their site.

Nope, no kickbacks for the pics

Hey, I did find the shackles I was first looking for when I stumbled upon my pics there.

I guess I never did see the shackels on line.
I dug out one of my 4WD mags and sure enough, it was in a recovery article.

Here they are.

These shackles are a little different shaped than the ones I have now, plus they are stainless steel.
Very nice stuff.
Gadget, those would look great on the back of that new bumper you are getting.

As far as I know, my rig is only on this site, and also on Power Tanks mounting ideas page.

Clin, see my 3rd paragraph in my first post.
I asked them if they wanted to use a few of my pics.

Sweet! Although a little dusty , it's nice to know your rig is 'show-quality'! Hell yeah, I would expect a little discount, at the very least!

Very nice Corey, it must be nice to see your truck in an ad like that. Next time you buy something from them, you could always ask for the "advertising discount"!

Brian, Micker, I'll have to hit 'em up for a discount next time I order something

Thanks Hawk.

I think my rig is less shy than I am, it seems to be everywhere
It ran in about 6 copies or so of Griot's catalog from spring to early summer.

The picture was actually taken the summer before though at Boeing's car show.
I took 1st place that year for the truck category.

I only wish I could have entered the contest this summer as well.
Lots of changes have happened to the rig since that picture was taken.
