Some quick questions

Does anyone know what size bolts hold the back seats in a 3rd gen 1996 SR5 4runner? I seem to have misplaced them since I last took apart my interior.

My Sunroof seems to be going a little slower than it used to.. does this mean that my motor is giving out... or is there some quick fix for making it slide with a little more umph?

thats it.

PS My truck is by no means trail worthy, and it is a 2wd so dont flame me for this next modification. I am currently installing new leather seats into it. Black seats with tan inserts and tan piping. The door panels are also getting reupholstered with black and tan.. I think its gonna look amazing. I jus want some other opinions

I want to see pictures when you are done...sounds nice. BTW...not all of us have offroad versions. I have a 2WD version and use it for my business primarily. So don't worry about the rest of these crazy nutz.

for the sunroof, maybe wire in a relay with a better wire going straight to the battery, make sure its fused though.I know my sunroof has always been slow

Mabey clean the tracks, connections, everything, that possibly could help, i wouldnt wire in a extra wire from the battery, thats asking for trouble.

As to your question...
I know they use a 13mm socket, and have a washer head, but I am not too sure regarding the naming of metric fasteners. I don't know the diameter of the threaded shaft.

Take it down to the local hardware store and find some to fit. Should be fairly easy.

just call them and ask for the specs on the bolts, then hit your specialty hdwr store.

Most of the of the seat bolts (all i have ever seen honda, toyota, nissan, etc) use a 10mm x1.25 thread pitch usually about 1 to 1.25" long and yes it has a 13mm head. You can buy a pack at autoparts store for about .50 to $1 and try them and you are only about a buck. The tracks on the sun roof become gummed up with dirt and debris. clean the track and regrease the slides should help and spray sillicon lubricant into the window tracks helps keep the windows functioning properly.
