slow to start

My 3.4 seems to need to turn over for a few seconds before it fires up. It always starts, and the starter motor seems to be doing it's job. Is this normal for it to have to crank several times before starting? (My 22re fires up almost instantly).
The 3.4 has new sparkplugs, fresh oil, and I cleaned the intake area.

Mine does the same as yours, especially when it's been sitting over overnight, or for 6-8 hrs.

Mine is doing the same thing, usually starts up on the 2nd crank but this morning it took about 5 minutes to start up.

sounds like a problem with the fuel or ignition system. next time try to let it sit for 30 secs with the key in the "on" position (to let the fuel system pressurize) before you turn it over. Let us know how it goes.

When I jumped to a 800 cold cranking amp battery (550 stock) it started like a jet engine compared to before... this is, if its your battery.
