skidplate bolts
#2
They are 8mm by about 25mm long with a 1.25 thread pitch. I would use a 8.8 or 10.9 class. The ACE by me carries 10.9 flange head hex bolts. This is the type that I supply with my skids.

I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
I'll probably go to Race Brothers Farm and Tractor Supply. You buy grade 5 and grade 8 in bulk. I think last time it was about 10 bucks a pound for grade 8.
And I love that skip plate Gerdo. Are you making any other skids plates?

I went with M8x1.25, 20mm long, class 8.8. I don't think grade 8 (or class 10.9) is needed, there's almost no weight on the bolts. That said, McMaster has them for ~$9 for a pack of 50, class 10.9, with a flange head (98093A538). They ship out of the Chicago area.
