Show me your Safari Rack on your 3rd gen 4Runner

those racks are some cool beans! id rock one if i had an SUV. would be neat to see a skinny, half rack. plenty guys over here use half the roof racks for their yakima ski clips...that they use to hold their fishing poles. or they could just mount it on on half of a full basket. haha. excuse me, im podagee...

I cut down my Kargo Master "Safari" rack to fit better. It was too wide and just didn't look right even after I flipped the top cage around. They are made for a Jeep and are 52" W x 60" L, which doesn't fit the 3rd Gen at all.
I also remounted it using the mounts that came with it, by reusing the factory rail "nuts". Way better than mounting it to the factory cross bars which didn't look good at all.
I cut the base down 6" on each side and cut 10" out of the center. I bolted the top cage back together and now it fits just right.

stockwell45 yes it is possible...

you just have to cut were the feet slide in and out, to adjust for defiant vehicles. i cut about an 1inch and a half longer track and it works great as u can see!
