Should I get black wheels?

Thinking about getting some 16x8 3.5" BS steelies... What do you guys think... Go black or stick to my polished wheels?

I want to get a more aggressive stance and I like the 1/2" less bs on the black wheels... I could go with some 1/2" spacers with my polished wheels though...

What do you guys think?

I think I like the top picture alot more...reason is it seems to flow alot better than black wheels.

Now, if you had black front and rear bumpers and not with the Limited silver flares then black would probally look good. Some of the SR5 models floating around on here (with the painted black bumpers, trim, etc.) look good with black wheels because they don't have the Limited trim/flares.

....some landcruiser wheels would look sick too Mine will be here on the 15th

I think the black would look good, but why not praint or powdercoat your current wheels? Should be cheaper and is a better looking and lighter wheel.

Kinda like this:

the black wheels give the vehicle a more utility look. I personally would opt for the black over the dressy polished wheels.

nice looking vehicle also!

The black steelies would make a nice change. I have the same color truck and have always wanted the black wheels. It looks good.

I have the comparable color in the early models (desert dune), and I personally did not like them when I first put them on (see my old post that had been revisited yesterday). As a few days went on, I decided I really liked them.

I like how your bumpers are color matched to the body, but, for some reason I think it would look better with black bumpers and/or flares. Of course the photochopping is a good representation of the truck with black wheels, they will give a totally ldifferent look in person.

So, in closing I would vote for black wheels. I like the more rugged look that they give. Make sure you have competent balancers and have them put the weights on the INSIDE of the rim instead of the outside lip. (Like the dumb-˟˟˟˟˟˟ did on mine).

Definetly check out summitracing.com for some cheap black steelies. My buddy just bought four 16x8" cragar soft blacks (round holes) for $50 a pop, with FREE shipping. They got here in 3 days and are AWESOME looking.

I like the top pic better with your truck color. I only like the black wheels on black rigs. Sweet sliders BTW!

I like the black wheels and I wouldn't paint the front or rear bumpers black. The current look makes it look more stock while the black wheels makes it stand out. Plus, I like how the black wheels match the tint and then everything else is monochrome.

Even though I have black wheels, I think that on your truck the polished wheels look better - unless you get black bumpers/fender flares.

Thanks for the input guys... I'm still stuck... Sc, not sure if you oticed but I used pics of your wheels to chop... What do you guys think about spacers? I really want to push the wheels out a bit more... I checked out the crager wheels and couldn't find a 16x8 6x5.5 with a 3.5" or so BS...

Here is a picture I found of the same mill. silver Runner with black wheels... What do you guys think...

I would say get some anthricite/gun metal colored wheels. The black looks too dark!

I like black, it looks cool.

Id definetly get the steel wheels rather than the polished. The polished ones are too shiny.

Yeah, I was having a hard time finding black steelies with that amount of BS. Wheelers was the only place I could find them with less BS.

I am running 1.5" marlin wheel adapters. They are sweet, and the extra stance is crucial with the amount of lift I have!

Polished all the way, fits your truck, and look good, plus wont cost you any money not to change

It doesnt look bad...but I still think if it had a few more black parts (bumper, roof rack) etc it might blend in alittle better.
It does look tough though. Now I am confused.

Say if you were to keep your current wheels, are there any other cool mods you could do with that money ???
