That silver runner looks really good. I dont agree with black bumpers though. It wont flow good, unless theyre aftermarket bumpers. I don't think you need to have black on your truck to have black wheels. I used to have an all white car with black wheels.

Here is a picture I found of the same mill. silver Runner with black wheels... What do you guys think...

thanks again everyone... So it seems like a 50/50 decision... The wheels I may get is going to cost about $130ish... I would then sell my current rims and I should have money in my pocket after...

However I still have no idea what to do... lol... As far as more mods go, I am pretty much done... I may do the 3" bodylift to replace my 2" some day though.

You Runner looks good as it sits now but if yu went with a black rim like a Mojave Teflon that would fit your rig better than just black steelies IMO. I have been looking into this a bit and Steel rims are usually about twice the lbs of a Aluminum rim. I thought that was interesting.

For example Toyota LC 16x8's are 22lbs and Rock Crawlers 16x8's are 46lbs. I have to imagine that this will effect both MPG and wear on parts long term.

Maybe I am Nuking it?

Steel rims are stronger, I like those, but the above mention of the mojave teflon is a good Idea too. Black looks better imo, You need some more aggressive tires too.

Holly crap are they really 45lbs each? I think you just helped me make my decision... Looks like I will go with some spacers... My Runner is slow enough already and adding extra weight to move around will make it worst...

I don't understand why you would want spacers. You already have 4"BS right?

I like the black especially with dark tinted windows. But how about painting your wheels now the gun metal colour. id say try photochopping that. might look pretty good.

with the monotone colour of your ride, id stick with the polished wheels. that said, i loove black/gunmetal wheels IF theres corresponding dark trim on your truck. if you had black bumper/flare trim, then i'd do it...but with a nice monotone paint scheme...it makes it look less 'clean'.

and wow! 45lbs is . when i switched from my oem split 3-spoke to the LC's...it felt so much lighter and more nimble even with the 285s on. maybe it was just a really sweet balancing job *shrug*

or...go with some LC wheels. perfect size/fit/weight and look!

just my measly opinion...

I kinda found out the hard way with my Taco that lower number BS can really cause rubbing issues to be much worse. Seems like the 4" is ideal for our big flares. When they stuff they can still go inside the fenders at the top.
Not good:

My LC rims and 285's are in the mail!

i had ordered some rockcrawlers but when they popped them on they said it wouldnt happen because the steel wheel would rub on the caliper. so im out of luck with steel wheels because my runner has tacoma calipers. the other option was to pop wheels spacers on, but every person i spoke to said id be crazy to add spacers.......what do u guys think bout wheels spacers to push the wheels out a bit? the wheels spacers that were recommended were wither .5 or .75 just enough to give the wheels some clearance. so my questions...spacers to have the wheels fit???? ot ditch wheels spacers altogether? thanks

lol Pat! Those are like 32" rims you just chopped

Eric, I know what you mean.. When I look at my current setup, it clears with just a bit of space left at full turn... I know if I go with 1/2" less bs, it will be a close call when turning...

I think that SnoViking has found exactly what you need. I still say you stay with the polished, they look better with that color in my opinion

Don't think that 1/2" are made due to the fact that the stock stud length would be too short and a bolt on spacer would not clear the lug nuts that would be needed to bolt it on. The narrowest that I have seen so far is 1" for bolt ons.

darn, I was thinking extended studs would do the trick... You are right, I can't find 1/2" worth a darn... Looks like I won't be doing any mods anytime soon.
