shifting into park clicking
Back story... Bought a 4runner with a blown motor unsure of the transmission condition at the time. While the engine was out I replaced the input shaft seal on the transmission and drained and refilled fluid in the torque converter. I now have a fast clicking noise as I go into park the noise goes away once the transmission gets warm. Any ideas? Is the transmission shot?

Are you still moving while you are shifting into park? The clicking sound is probably the park detent paw which holds the transmission in place and prevents rolling while in park. Either parts inside the trans are still rotating, bad clutches possibly, or the paw is engaging prematurely, or some other internal failure is occurring. A video clip would help us confirm the issue.
