Truck rolls forward a few inches after putting into Park
I dunno if this is normal, but when I shift into park, and let go of the brakes afterward, my truck rolls forward a few inches before it comes to a stop. Kinda scary, this happens on flat level ground as well. And the stop somewhat jerks me forward a little.
Is this ok?

Use your emergency brake. The rolling forward is the drivetrain taking the weight of your truck at rest. Namely u-joints on your driveshaft among other things. If it rolls with the e-brake on, the e-brake isn't adjusted properly.

Rob,
What the heck is up w/ your truck!?!
while I dont know if this could be related, check it anyways: check all your vacuum lines. When I put my new PCV in, i forgot to connect one of the lines and it would lurch forward after I braked. The most obvious, telltale sign was that there was an audible 'hiss'. if you hear that, it might be the reason or a contributing factor. if not, what Cebby says is probably correct.

I have no clue what's up with it. It's got a mind of it's own.
As for some vacuum leak, I doubt that's the problem. I think this is somewhat normal and probably what cebby said. this doesn't happen when I brake, just when I put it into park. Ah well, I think she's fine.
btw, how's ur trip goin?

Cebby,
We left high 60 degree sunshine for this crap! Had to run in the rain to the car. 1-800-wwwwaaaambulence. Yeah, I know, big deal. But if you've lived in the sunshine state your whole life, this is not a welcome change!

If you are on perfectly level ground, the "Park" setting should be fine. Other than that, use the e-brake, that's what it is for.

Its freakin 15 degrees outside here...I thought when I moved here it was called the country for a reason, I always thought of the "country" as being warm...so much for that!
That is normal behavior Toyo...mine does the same thing. It's just the pressure of stopping and the weight of your truck switching from being on the brakes to the transmission. I ALWAYS use my e-brake just to have less wear on the tranny...
Just my $.02

Thanks guys, I gotta try to use my e-brake more I guess. First I gotta get off my lazy a$$ and make an e-brake bracket.
seems like everybody wants to move out to Az, finally people are starting to realize how good of a state that is.

Let me know if you need some dimensions or pics for the e-brake bracket. I fabbed one up about 3 months ago in preparation for my lift, hopefully this month.
