Sequoia, RX300, or Pilot--for my Wife!
If it was me I would get the Sequoia 4x4 for sure--Low gear, big, nice to take on trips. Both the (Pilot and the RX300)
would be easy to drive, have navigation, awd(no thinking), leather, etc. Both the Sequoia and the Lexus have stability control. What do you guys think--I have the 4Runner for camping.....

Just my opinion:
Sequoia. Toyota quality.
Although the RX300 is Toyota/Lexus quality, it looks like a mini-van. Not that there's anything wrong with that...if that's your thing, cool.
Honda Pilot: Car manufacturer with probably the least truck & S.U.V. experience in the market. They have a total of the CRV, the MDX & now the Pilot. I don't go to The Steakhouse to have pasta and I don't go to Honda for truck & 4x4.
Don't mind my short answers, not trying to be an ass. It's just late & I wanted to get to the point...

We just got a '99 RX 300 for the wife and she absolutely loves it. It is really nice to drive and the back seat is surpisingly roomy. Sequoias are nice, too. Its a tough choice. My wife wanted something smaller, though, so the RX made more sense. And once we test drove some, the choice was really easy. Better mileage than the Sequoia, too.
You're right, the deals on the "leftover" 300's are really good right now, while they are making room for the new 330's...

I say get the RX300 unless you absolutely need more room. If you have the 4Runner already, it's not like the Sequoia is going to need low range or any of that stuff. Plus if you get a good deal on the RX, that's even better. Forget the Pilot, it's a mini-van-car-thing.

Get her the RX300, and I don't think many women are capable of driving FullSize Trucks but they do
Take the new RX, I would pass on the Pilot and I thought it had a waiting list

I say grab a leftover RX300. you've already got a real truck, now get a nice, smooth, AWD tallcarwagonsuv.

I say grab a leftover RX300, they are pretty great for their intended purpose. You've already got a real truck, now get a nice, smooth, AWD tallcarwagonsuv.

I don't think you could make a bad choice. Have the wife test drive each vehicle. I have a 02 Sequoia and love it. My girlfriend likes to drive it also. I do like the customer service of Lexus though. I hope to move up to their line in a few years. I also like the Subaru Forester and Outback if you want a cheaper vehicle that can go in the rain, snow and ice. They are not for off-road use but you don't need that with a 4runner in the family. The pilot is in its first year so the price might be higher and there could be first year problems. Let us know what you end up getting.

Thanks for all of your responses. I pretty much agree with everyone all three of these cars are good picks—while I like the Sequoia it probably is too big for my wife 95% of the time. So the Pilot and the RX300 would make a good choice. I’m surprised nobody mentioned an 03 4Runner---It would be a touch cheaper than the RX300 and it would have low
I’ll let you know what we finally figure out.....

we just bought a 2000 RX300 with 26K miles, for $24,500. I have to say for a little truck, it actually has a decent amount of room inside, and has a very smooth ride. Perfect for that suburb-city commute. On the road, I hate to say this, I actually like driving the RX rather then the 4runner.
