TO SELL OR NOT (4th Gen S/C runner)

When someone mentioned Land Cruiser. I pictured something like this for offroads. I wish this ride was about 2000 miles due east.

FJ40's are pretty $$. Find a good one for a reasonable price and you've found gold!!
I'm looking for one currently but the limited $$ limits me severely. O well... Figure one of these days I'll find a good fj40 that I can snatch up.

Dude, I think just sell it as it is and take the loss.. Buy a new 4x4 and get a new supercharger installed on it.. Let the mods begin. Quit wasting time with that 2wd. I'm sure you would like to see a 04 supercharged hilux surf with a sweet lift, winch, bumper, sliders, nice rims, sitting in your driveway .....awh man what a pretty site. Get it and scratch the fu*k out of it! That way you don't have to worry about the paint. (Silver is a good color for this.) Nobody wants to drive 5 hours to a wheelin spot in a beater. IMO when the ˟˟˟˟t hits the fan you better be ready! I like the $ runner because I can get out of anything, anywhere, anytime.....

To give you an idea of how much of a bath you'll be taking when you go to trade.
I recently (last year) was entertaining the idea of trading in my 2002 Taco.
I paid $23K + tax for it new in 2002. In 2003 the dealer was offering me $15K for
it (Honda dealer, so I expect a Toyota dealer would offer a bit more but not much)
Okay, so in 1 year with 17K miles the truck depreciated $8K at the dealer. To sell
to a private party you'll take less of a hit but either way it will cost you a lot.
In the end I'm glad I didn't trade now. Was going to trade for a Honda Pilot.
What was I thinking!

Victor -
Go for the private sale. One look at KBB and the idea of trading straight into the dealer just flew out the window
You sure you're not going to miss the Supercharger? Maybe you should take that out and save it for the 4x4 you'll be getting!
And as Bud would say:
"YoOOouu can DOOooo it!"

I don't know if that Land Cruiser is worth the money. You would have to look at it and see all the mods that had been made. It looks like quality work??? It has been for sale for a while so maybe 11,500-12,000. Those old Cruisers hold their value. There are several for 25K and above in CA.
