I have a 96 taco with the 2.7. I'm thinking of putting a Header on it but I have had problems with headers in my 85.

I had the 22re in my 85, I put a header on and a few days later my check engine light came on. The dealer told me that the under hood temp was to high and that i would keep setting the censors off. I wrapped the headers in heat wrapped and that took care of it but it burned up the header about a year later. I ended up going back to the stock maifold.

I'm wondering if anybody with headers on there 2.7 has had any problems with the under hood temps. What kinda performance increases have you gotten?
