Running Lights Shake

I have messed and adjusted with these things forever but they still shake. Do yours? I have the Hella Micro De and there are only 3 mounting bolts for each light. 2 for the bracket and 1 to mount the light to the bracket and they are all tight as can be. The shake when you hit any little bump which is annoying to me and everyone else. Any ideas? Are yours resting inside the bumper?

If you are for sure and not for maybe that it is the lamps and not the ballasts or anything else jostling around when jarred sharply, check the decorative ring, if there is one, for play. If there is play, secure that and that could very well be the end of it. However, shake the lamp itself. If something inside rattles, good luck with that. Otherwise look into using rubber washers and lock tight. But if the magnesium on the lamp gets too hot for rubber consider any high temp polymer on the two lamp-to-bracket connections and use rubber for other bracket-to-frame/vehicle connection. You might also be able to rig something using leather and plastic washers. I'm not sure you want to hear my gorilla glue option just yet so lets just go with that for now. Also, are the brackets mounted to the frame? Do they screw into the frame via a threaded hole or is the bolt secured with a flat washer, a lock washer and a nut? Does the nut have plastic inside of it that was crushed when you installed it or when it was installed. If the latter you may have to rig a double nut set up with a cotter pin back up so your lamps don't go skipping down the highway. Also-also, is it one bolt to mount the lamp bracket to the vehicle and two bolts to mount the lamp to that bracket, one on each side? Or do you have a different set up?

I am pretty sure it is not inside the lamp itself. There are no crush washers or anything plastic. The hole in the bumper is not big enough for the metal part of the light to sit in but rather just the curved part of the glass. IDK, I will have to play with it some more.
